Finn has worked for the last two months out of the working hostel in Ayr, QLD, spending a few days in several farms doing different jobs. He has received good reports and feedback from farms and from the coordinator at the hostel. His roles have included picking and packing melons, landing mango trees and recovering mango seeds, general field maintenance prior to the fields being disc harrowed.
He has developed more experience we produce handling, driving buggies and utes, and also a little tractor driving.
He has enjoyed these roles and is now hoping for more regular work in a more regular farm environment.
Aims and Motivations here in Australia
His aims are to get hands-on practical experience, develop his already good English, become physically stronger, and learn to make himself useful in every way possible.
Back Home
Finn is from Hamburg in N Germany.
He recently completed high school and has qualified for University but he is not yet sure which route his path will take.
He has completed two 4 week work experience placements in an advertising agency, focused on video editing, and in a school-based childcare organisation. He particularly enjoyed working with children.
Employment History
Finn is a farm work beginner, and will suit a general assistant / offsider role initially.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
Driving & vehicles
Full driving licence, he passed his manual test recently and is a confident but inexperienced driver.
Practical skills / trade skills
He has some basic practical skills from school woodworking classes etc, but otherwise has had little opportunity for practical tasks. He has always enjoyed being hands on. Developing practical hands on skills is one of his aims here.
Domestic, cook and childcare etc
capable of cooking basic meals for himself.
Good with children, he has experience of afterschool activities and homework etc with children age 6-10.
Hobbies, other skills and interests
Various hobbies, in particular he has a green belt in Taekwondo, enjoys going to the gym, & hiking.
Personal
Has excellent English and a flair for langauges and communication. A friendly and engaging manner, a ready sense of humour, attentive, focused and very keen to do well here.

Tall and thin, likely to fill out in the coming years., 1m90, 70kg
DIET / MEDICAL:
None, Has preferred a vegetarian diet in the past, but now open to eating all meats and a full varied normal diet.
