Aims and Motivations here in Australia
His motivation is to add practical skill and experience to his academic studies, in as many agricultural fields as possible. Especially keen on tractor, telehandler and other farm machinery operation, as he ultimately hopes to work for JCB.

He has completed an agricultural degree at Harper Adams University, and then completed a Masters (MEng) in Agricultural Engineering.
In Australia
3 Months station work experience in NT
Tractor operations including seeding, rolling, fertilizer spreading. Telehandler operations including loading/unloading pallets, bales, fertilizer and seed bags. Spraying firebreaks around paddocks, bush lines and tree farms using a sprayer mounted on ute. Mustering cattle between paddocks and laneways. Drafting cattle in race. Machinery maintenance, including servicing vehicles, repairing and relaxing parts of implements such as seeders and mowers. General use of power tools for maintenance tasks. Some use of MiG welder. Mowing of lawns. Fence work.
Employment History
Agricultural employment.
He has worked summer and part-time jobs on arable and beef farms for the last eight years. Duties include harvest preparation, Rogueing, feeding cattle, cleaning out bedding sheds, and a range of general maintenance on sheds, feeding apparatus and fencing.
His Masters degree included one-year full-time in an agricultural engineer producing designs for slurry scraping, mixing, pumping, and application.
This in included computer aided design, creation of technical drawings, user manuals and parts books etc.
Other employment.
He has had other part-time jobs while studying, as a cinema host and then as a cinema experience manager.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
Farm / Livestock
has worked part time / summer jobs on farms for the last 8 years, has had a fair amount of practical experience as part of his degree. Now keen to work full time in various Ag fields to build up experience and practical skills.
Equine / equestrian
Beginner, limited riding experience.
Open to opportunities within around horses but agriculture, cropping, machinery and livestock are his areas of focus.
Driving & vehicles
Full driving licence for six years, motorbike licence .
Tractor handling certificate, experience with tele-handler.
Tractor activities at college included topping, mowing, ploughing, cultivating and carting.
City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Agricultural tractor driving and related operations and forklift truck operations (rough terrain, masted & telescopic type)
Practical skills / trade skills
Has basic welding skills, mechanical skills. First Aid at Work (in House).
Domestic, cook and childcare etc
Can cook for himself.
NB he is coeliac meaning he requires a gluten-free diet.
He is able to self manage this safely; it is not a life-threatening condition.

Has customer facing service experience from his cinema host and manager role.
Hobbies, other skills and interests
Various sporty hobbies including skiing, kayaking and canoeing et cetera, and he is a qualified kayak coach. Passionate about canoeing and kayaking. Also a keen target and shot gun shooter.
