Eilidh (pronounced Ayley) is 22 from Kent, UK
She grew up in rural France up until age 11, then her family moved to the UK.
Completed school at the Kings School Canterbury
Graduated from University with a BSc with Honours in Management and French with Distinction in Spoken French
Future plans - Currently exploring her options - has a keen interest in working with animals.
In Australia
Her job was a variation of a lot of things! Every day was different. Each day she was required to feed all the horses, chickens and poddy calves morning and evening. Then some days would consist of moving cattle on horseback or fixing fences, pulling bores, rolling out or unclogging poly pipes. She also spent a couple of days handling a foal. There was also a lot of cattle branding, ear tagging, horn cutting and even castration. Furthermore, there were a couple of serious wildfires whilst she was out there, so she learnt how to use firefighter in order to go out and put out the fires.
Employment History
A wide and varied work history: including marketing and events intern (Hatch Mansfield wine importers), Champagne Taittinger's visitors experience intern events and production assistant, helping with bottling and labelling of the wine. Waitress, Volunteer at a rhino sanctuary for two months: experience included in general farm work and maintenance. Plus, animal conservation, care and feeding.
Part Time (April – July 2021) - Simpsons’ Wine Estate, Barham, Kent, UK- Supporting events team with tastings and production team during tirage and bottling

Aims and Motivations here in Australia
To gain hands-on experience, ideally on a cattle or horse property.
Is eager to put her skills in horse and quad-bike riding to practical use and to learn/work with cattle.
Wants ultimately to learn how to work with cattle on horseback and how to drive a tractor.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
Farm / Livestock
Grew up on a rural southern French wine estate from a young age and has been accustomed to the agricultural cycle and has been around various farm equipment, machinery etc. Can drive quad bikes, Gator 4x4s and forklifts. Helped parents and their team with the grape harvest and the bottling and labelling of wine.
Her family has always had dogs, is very comfortable with dogs of all sizes and the care that is required.
Spent a summer volunteering at a rhino sanctuary in South Africa, where she expanded her skills in animal care and outdoor maintenance. Duties included maintaining the bomas, which involved painting fences, sweeping, and cleaning the areas for injured animals. Was also involved in feeding and assisting with the veterinary care of the rhinos, pangolins and other rescued animals on the sanctuary, which helped her become comfortable and confident working with wildlife and in hands-on conservation settings. This unique experience further developed her ability to work with large animals and adapt to physically demanding outdoor environments.

Equine / equestrian
Very experienced confident and skilled rider. Grew up around horses and has been riding since she was 3 years old. Had her own horse as a teen and regularly competed in various disciplines incl. dressage, show jumping and eventing. Has also done a couple of charity long-distance rides. Is very comfortable around all kinds of horses. and has deepened her understanding of horse behaviour, care and training.
Is very experienced in taking care of horses and doing the farm work associated with horses (mucking out, cleaning the stables, grooming, maintaining tack and general stable duties).
Driving & vehicles
4 years with Manual & Auto licence.
Has driven - Yamaha Grizzly Quad bike, Toyota Gas Forklift, John Deere Gator 4x4, Seadoo GTX 300, 6.5m Cap Camarat boat
Practical skills / trade skills
Has a variety of practical and trade skills, including painting & maintaining fences, took part in a community project to help create netball courts for less fortunate children in Africa. This involved lining the courts with sand and water to create a level playing surface, as well as crafting the nets for the hoops.
