JD is from Western Mongolia.
He has a 1st° in banking and accountancy from University in Ulaanbataar, and the majority of his career has been in banking. He is considering studying for an MSc (Masters) in international business.

He has worked for five years in three different banks since completing his degree. He worked for two years on the front desk, one year in a different bank as a loan officer, and then two years in the third bank, also as a loan officer. That finished in November 2023 and he travelled to Australia.
 
Along the way he has worked in hospitality roles, (2017-2019)  in a large well-known restaurant in Ulaanbataar, while studying, and also in construction for his uncle's company in all University holidays, over a 3 year period.
 
Since arriving in Australia he has been working for the last six months as head chef in a Turkish kebabs restaurant in Melbourne, typically working 50-60 hour weeks.
 
Skills & Experiences
 
FARM & LIVESTOCK:
He grew up in the Mongolian countryside, up until age 10. His family looked after 20 yak, 150 sheep and goats, 10 horses, and 10 cows, in a traditional nomadic farm. He visited countryside frequently and school holidays and so became familiar and confident handling livestock, including catching horses with lassoo!
He also gained a fair bit of experience growing various summer vegetables. 

 
EQUINE / EQUESTRIAN:
Intermediate level horse rider, in the Mongolian style.
Experience of looking after and caring for horses, in wild paddocks.
 
DRIVING, VEHICLES, MECHANICAL:
Full driving licence, 4 years. Mostly automatic experience, but capable and competent at manual driving.
A natural car enthusiast, he has owned and maintained several cars.
 
Some automatic scooter riding, and minimal forklift driving when working in the construction company.
 
PRACTICAL & TRADE SKILLS:
Considers himself moderately handy and practical, gain experience of manual labour is an offsider and general labourer in the  construction company, main tasks being concreting and movement of various materials.
 
DOMESTIC / HOSPITALITY / CHILDCARE ETC
 A confident cook. Worked as a head chef in a kebab restaurant in Melbourne for 6 months, as well as two years part-time work in restaurants in Mongolia while studying.
Good customer service skills, also gained in his banking roles.
Has been brought up on a large extended family; has experience of looking after 14 younger nephews and nieces.  Enjoys being around children.
 
HOBBIES, OTHER SKILLS AND INTERESTS:
Enjoys drawing, table tennis, pool, online computer games, and is also very enthusiastic about cars / vehicles.

Very good English - has spent six months working in Melbourne.
Very intelligent, speaks five languages, (Russian, Turkish, Mongolian, Kazakh, and English)
calm, well mannered, good listener, good communicator. Naturally inquisitive, keen to understand how things work, and also has high standards of organisation and cleanliness.
 
FITNESS: Naturally fit, active, keeps himself fit with visits to the gym, and swimming. Enjoys being active, doing physical work. Enthusiastic and up for adventurous activities and physical challenges., 171cm & 63kg
DIET / MEDICAL: Normal diet except no pork. No medical conditions. 
 
Aims and Motivation
JD is planning to remain in Australia for 2 to 3 years. His immediate aim is to gain his second Visa, and he is also determined to build up skills that will enable him to spend a lot of time working in rural Australia.
