Janbo and Jenny
Janbo (28) and Jenny (24) are a couple from one of the smaller cities in central Mongolia.
They are both degree educated, with several years of professional work experience. They have been in Australia for six months, working full-time, and are now seeking to work in rural Australia, firstly to gain the second VISA, but secondly to build up skills so that they can complete six months of further rural work in the second year. In effect, therefore, they may be available for up to 9 or even 12 months.
They intend to live and work in Australia for at least another 2 ½ years with their working holiday visas. They are therefore committed to building up farm experience and relevant skills to work in rural Australia for at least the next 9-12 months.
They have come to Visitoz on recommendation from Jenny’s sister and her partner who joined the programme six months ago and have had a very successful employment which is still ongoing.
Jenny would like to study here in Australia, perhaps to become a journalist, and ultimately Jambo to continue his career in computer programming.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Like most Mongolians they have experience of countryside life, as their families have raised various livestock in their traditional nomadic farms. This includes day-to-day handling of cows, sheep, Mongolian horses (ponies), when visiting the farms for 2 to 3 months every summer.
Jambo is confident around horses and riding, Jenny is not a rider but has general livestock experience.
They do not have driving licences. They are extremely keen to learn, and are in the process of applying for Australian learner licences. They hope for an employer that will have the opportunity for them to learn how to drive manual vehicles.
PERSONAL
They are intelligent and motivated. Calm, professional and well mannered.
Both are fluent in several languages, and have very good English. (Russian, Turkish, Mongolian, Kazakh and English)
They are both fit and mobile, and used to active lifestyles.
Jambo is into soccer, basketball, fishing, table tennis and chess.
Jenny is a very sociable and people focused person. She loves singing, dancing, basketball (she is tall and strong) and is especially keen on working with children.
They are Muslim. They do not eat pork, and do not drink alcohol.
