Asad is from Stockholm, the capital city in Sweden. Back Home He moved to Sweden from Somalia aged 10, and has completed Swedish education. He completed high school with specialisation in the construction industry. He then completed a period of work experience in France working for a concreting company. |

Work history
He has worked for four years (2018-2022) in a book distribution warehouse.
In 2016 -17 he worked as a personal assistant for special needs clients.
He has also worked part-time as a taxi driver.
Since arriving in Australia (Melbourne) in January 2024 he has been working as a machine operator in a meat processing factory for six months
He is now motivated to work in rural Australia, gain a second Visa, and learn and develop some new skills for ongoing work in rural Australia.
Farm experience
A farm work beginner. Minimal experience with horses. Some experience of handling cows and camels as a child in Somalia.
Driving
He has a full driving licence (eight years). Has worked as a taxi driver part-time in Sweden, and has some experience of driving delivery vans, approx. 100h driving of forklifts (in his warehouse role).
Approximately 10h of tractor driving (John Deere) using forks and bucket.
Minimal motorbike experience, but very keen to do and learn more.
Practical Skills
used to working in a warehouse environment, both back in Sweden and here in Australia.
Moderately experienced forklift driver. Used to lifting, carrying, day-to-day physical and manual labour.
Has enjoyed practical tasks at school; woodwork etc.
Enjoys working with his hands but not much experience yet.
Other skills - childcare and caring
Has some experience looking after children, this was one-on-one in his caring role, and when he was younger he had a paid role for six months in which he was part of a schoolwork program assisting children aged 6 to 9 with after-school activities.
Personal
Can cook for himself, basic cooking skills.
Smiley, cheerful and positive character, naturally engaging. Good interpersonal skills.
Will be very grateful for any opportunity.
Sociable, modest, easy going, reliable, punctual.
Slim, fit, active, used to manual and machine work. Keeps himself fit, uses the gym occasionally.
No medical conditions. Does not eat pork for religious reasons. (Muslim)
