JOSHUA, 22, MALE, UNITED KINGDOM (NEXT JOB REQUIRED)
6 MONTHS CATTLE AND SHEEP EXPERIENCE. STUDIED AS A BLACKSMITH FOR TWO YEARS, INCLUDING WELDING, THEN CARPENTRY/CABINETMAKING FOR THREE YEARS. DRIVER, AND SITE WORK FOR WATER MAINS REPAIRS WORK EXPERIENCE.
KEEN FOR ANY GENERAL FARM WORK ROLE. WILL SUIT MAINTENANCE, CONSTRUCTION, TRACTOR AND MACHINERY WORK.
Available for 2 and a half months from approx. (20/01/2025)

Josh is from Surrey, South east England.
He studied as a blacksmith / metalworker for two years, including welding and then studied carpentry and cabinetmaking for three years,
His work experience includes 6 months of blacksmithing with a movie prop maker and also, 3 months of experience with a furniture maker. It worked part-time as a delivery driver all the way through studies,  then after graduating he worked as a delivery driver for a large supermarket then for the last year has worked for the water company , working on site repairing water mains and service pipes. This included some work with small diggers.

In Australia
6 months in cattle and sheep station. 
job involved mustering cattle and sheep on 250cc motorcycles but also carried out yard building, welding, mechanical repairs, operating heavy machinery and cleaning trough. Gained skills to muster cattle and sheep but also to yard them up put them through the yards and draft also lamb marking and calf branding.  Gained the skills to use loaders, trucks, motorbikes, welding and fixing various machinery including utes motorbikes and loaders.

 
Aims and Motivation
Aim is to develop a wide range of skills and experience, which may enable him to stay and live and work in Australia for several years. Keen to gain second Visa.
Believes his best suitable to general maintenance, vehicles and machinery work.
Also very keen to develop livestock experience alongside his practical skills.
 
Skills
No previous farm experience. Extremely keen to develop livestock skills and awareness.
Beginner level horse rider. No experience of ground or stable work.

Full driving licence for four years. A fair bit of 4x4 experience with his father, and used to ride motocross when younger. Experienced and confident driver.

Wide range practical skills and experience, use of tools, materials, small construction vehicles, power tools et cetera. Loves to fix, repair, maintain and mend things. Loves a workshop.
Can cook basic meals for himself and friends.
 
Personal
Enjoys playing bass guitar and harmonica. Loves tinker with things. Has been restoring a classic mini Cooper.
Sociable, friendly, outgoing humorous. Respectful manners. Loves practical work and being active. Works well in a small team.
