1 month steel fabrication, 3 months cattle station all rounder
Darly has worked at RAT Engineering in Hughenden as a fabrication welder, and for 3 months at Dutton River Cattle Station in QLD.
Tasks included drafting, mustering, fencing, cutting cattle's balls
Other tasks: fix water pipe, fix water pump, fix generator, building yard, driving bobcat, 4wd and quad bikes
Back Home
Darly is from Belgium.
He is a trained and qualified welder.
Since 2018 he has worked in building renovations, as an electromechanic, shot blasting, and for the last 2.5 years as a trainee welder and welder / fitter in fabrication workshops, shipyards and building mine / quarry infrastructure.
Welder since 2021 - training and working. Worked as an electro-mechanic in 2019.
Aims and Motivation
Intent on building skills and gaining experience to establish himself for a future in Australia.
To gain all round general farm work skills in addition to his metal working.
Skills
No previous farm or livestock experience.
No driving licence, able to drive manual vehicles though, just has not passed his test.
Forklift qualified. approx. 50 hours workshop / factory experience.
Welder by profession. Good all round workshop experience and practical skills.
Certificates: Working at height and VCA basic safety diploma.
Used to some cooking for self, family and friends
Personal
Leisure: rugby, literature, youth movements. Has worked with the scouts for many years.
Has also studied the Latin language.
Quiet, focused, hard working.
Fit, active, a keen rugby player and organiser of children's Rugby club., 181cm & 75kg
