Abbie started an apprenticeship in Leisure management, but decided it was not for her. She then completed (in 2023) an 18 month rural apprenticeship at Ottley Ag College as a farmhand / livestock worker and plans an Ag career.
Her working apprenticeship was based at her college, with 200 sheep, 10 cows, a few pigs and chickens, machinery operation, animal husbandry. She
Loved the livestock work and has been very active in the young farmers network.
She worked the 2023 grain harvest for 5 months full time, operating machinery and carting grain, and the 2023 potato harvest for the last 3 months, loading and carting. Gained experience of tractor operation, including older MF and new John Deere 250, 215 and 155.
Is contracted again in UK from March 2024.
5 yrs driving licence, tractor, quad, gator, loader, forklift and ute / truck experience. has basic servicing skills and start up checks etc.
Fi, active, loves the farm environment and farm life.
Eats Gluten Free diet. 1m60 & 60 kg
Aims to broaden her livestock cropping, vehicle and machinery experience and build skills for her AG career.
Ideally seeks a mixed farm role, but will be pleased for any opportunity.
