L2 Agric education, head groom from a dairy farm, keen for a general farm and / or horse work role, will suit a position in a busy and welcoming team.
Farm girl, brought up on a 120 head dairy farm, approx. 300 acres, also produces bullocks, and has spent some time contracting.
Lucy has a level 2 Agric qualification from Askham Bryan College in SE Yorkshire. She has completed a 2 year apprenticeship as a head groom with a leading equestrian business. She comes from a family dairy farm which also produces bullocks.
She has worked in an admin role in a cleaning company, for 2 years on an apprenticeship as head groom at an eventing yard and a hunting yard for 5 months (1 season) as a hunt groom.
She has also worked most recently as a disabled carer.
Horses.
She has ridden all her life, competing in eventing and showjumping, and hunting. Her role at the hunt yard had 15 horses; duties were to prepare for the hunt and ride and exercise them every day. At the event yard (Helen Bell Equine) responsible for 30 horses, with similar duties plus responsibility for broodmares and youngstock. Also has her own horses.
Full driving licence, 4 years. has tractor licence, experience on tractors, JCBs. quads. Handy with basic mechanical tasks, change a tyre, oil etc. Basic welding, as her step dad is a metalworking blacksmith.
A get on with it girl, down to earth, hard working and hands on. Strong Yorkshire accent.
Enjoys the gym, works out twice a day of she can, loves to be active. 162.6cm & 63.5kg
Also enjoys her social life, country shows, equine events in the pub, and the occasional woodbine.
A good cook, and some childcare as her good friend has a 2 year old.
