WORK IN AUS:
Here in AUS he has worked with a contract mustering crew for 3.5 months, and prior to that for 1 month as a stable hand on a thoroughbred stud. Has been learning at a great rate and has been thriving on the environment and the challenges. Positive references available. He also cooked for the crew from time to time, and became pretty good at basic motorbike maintenance.
'On a daily basis we would go out on motorbikes to gather cattle together in big paddocks and move these to a cattle yard with the help of the rest of the crew. In the cattle yard I would help out moving cattle around, drafting them, loading them on trucks, helping out with pregnancy testing and putting out hay for feeding. I would also do fencing work where we go along fences to fix any issues. Most days I worked anywhere between 8-12 hours. Often 7 days a week'
BACK HOME:
Has been living and working in Spain for the last year, before coming to Australia.
Work experience: in Spain he worked as a phone based customer service agent for a Dutch company, (14 mth FT) also worked a garden centre employee (6 mths FT) , and a grocery clerk in a supermarket (1.5 yrs PT)
RELEVANT SKILLS:
Full driving licence, 2 yrs. Has learned to operate quads and 2 wheel bikes through the bush, as well as utes / cars on dirt roads. Keen now to learn to operate tractors and other farm vehicles.
A beginner- horse rider. has been starting to learn how to ride horses with a friend, has enjoyed this and is keen to learn more should an opportunity arise.
PERSONALITY ATTRIBUTES AND INTERESTS:
Dutch and Advanced English (CV).
Has been a scout for several years, and also a sea scout, and practical repair of boats, and a season of sailing course.
Energetic, sociable, enthusiastic, outgoing, enjoys traveling, and cooking.
Fit, strong and well acclimatised to Australia now. 197cm & 98kg
Aims to spend 1 or more years here, so intention is to learn as many new skills as possible on the way, and get fitter and stronger. Able to work for up to 6 months initially.
Any general farm role is great, but would love to learn to work with tractors and other farm vehicles.
